Your donation supports your community
Our waterfront community continues to grow at a rapid pace and the need for programs and services grows along with it. We face a true financial challenge, as 100% of WNC program costs must be raised each year through fundraising efforts.
We love a party and host numerous fundraising activities with the help of volunteers – car washes, bake sales, fun fairs, art sales, tournaments and galas. No event is too big or too small and 100% of the money we raise directly supports WNC programs and services.
We rely on donations and grants from individuals, community-minded corporations and foundations/agencies to finance all of the programs and services that we offer. Donations can be designated to specific programs or applied to the program with the greatest need.
Please make a contribution – of whatever you can afford – through the Waterfront Neighbourhood Centre Charitable Fund (WNCCF).
The Waterfront Neighbourhood Centre Charitable Fund (WNCCF) is a registered charity, which accepts donations on behalf of the Waterfront Neighbourhood Centre. Monetary donations of $20 or more made through the WNCCF receive charitable tax receipts at the end of the year. Please make out cheques to WNCCF. Only donations made through WNCCF are eligible for a charitable tax receipt.
Be a Bud – Send a Kid to Camp!
One week of camp for a local child is only $96 but for families living on tight budgets, sometimes summer activities just aren’t an option. Every child deserves a fun day camp experience – help make that possible by donating to our Be a Bud summer fundraiser. Donations are gladly accepted in person, by telephone and online by completing the form below. Thanks for making a difference.
No one should go to bed hungry.
Support WNC’s Community Grocery Card Drive.
No one should go to bed hungry. Never. And yet in our prosperous city along the waterfront, there are local families and community members who struggle. Let’s make this holiday season a bit easier for our neighbours. Please give to our annual grocery card drive which we launch every year on Giving Tuesday Canada. Donations can be made online – see below or in person at the community centre through the Waterfront Neighbourhood Centre Charitable Fund (WNCCF).
A $50 donation will provide a grocery card for a family and a $25 donation will cover a grocery card for an isolated individual or senior who is living on a fixed income.
Monetary donations of $20 or more made through the WNCCF receive charitable tax receipts at the end of the year. Please make out cheques to WNCCF. Only donations made through WNCCF are eligible for a charitable tax receipt.
We gladly accept:
- Cash or Interac (WNC Reception only)
- Cheques (payable to “ Waterfront Neighbourhood Centre Charitable Fund” or “WNCCF”)
- VISA and MasterCard
- Online donations (via Paypal)
