Your donation supports your community
Our waterfront community continues to grow at a rapid pace and the need for programs and services grows along with it. We face a true financial challenge, as 100% of WNC program costs must be raised each year through fundraising efforts.
We love a party and host numerous fundraising activities with the help of volunteers – car washes, bake sales, fun fairs, art sales, tournaments and galas. No event is too big or too small and 100% of the money we raise directly supports WNC programs and services.
We rely on donations and grants from individuals, community-minded corporations and foundations/agencies to finance all of the programs and services that we offer. Donations of $20 or more are eligible for a charitable donation tax receipt issued by the City of Toronto. Donations can be designated to specific programs or applied to the program with the greatest need.
No one should go to bed hungry. Support WNC’s Community Grocery Card Drive.
No one should go to bed hungry. Never. And yet in our prosperous city along the waterfront, there are local families and community members who struggle. Let’s make this holiday season a bit easier for our neighbours. Please give to our annual grocery card drive which we launch every year on Giving Tuesday Canada. Donations can be made online – see below or in person at WNC
A $50 donation will provide a grocery card for a family and a $25 donation will cover a grocery card for an isolated individual or senior who is living on a fixed income. Monetary donations of $20+ are eligible for a charitable donation tax receipt issued by the City of Toronto.
We gladly accept:
- Cash or Interac (WNC Reception only)
- Cheques (payable to “City of Toronto c/o Waterfront Neighbourhood Centre”)
- VISA and MasterCard
- Online donations
