On Saturday, May 4th, we hosted our 2nd Repair Cafe Toronto (RCT) at Waterfront Neighbourhood Centre. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the volunteers who generously offered their time and support to help others fix their broken items. This event would not have been possible without the wonderful leadership of Liz McGroarty, a dedicated and influential figure in our community. We sincerely appreciate her ongoing commitment to giving back in various ways.

We also want to express our gratitude to each volunteer, Wai Chu Chen, Tina, Julie, Sequoia, Aimee, Roger, Jenny & Jay for their outstanding service to our guests, resulting in many satisfied customers and successful repairs. Special thanks to City Councillor Ausma Malik of Ward 10, Spadina–Fort York, and Bushra Mir, Constituency and Planning Advisor, for their presence and unwavering support of WNC community initiatives. Thank you for your time, collaboration, and contributions in making this event a memorable and impactful experience for all involved.

Visit repaircafetoronto.ca if you’re interested in learning more.
