Waterfront Neighbourhood Centre is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Wayne Robertson.
Wayne was a long-time and valued employee of WNC. During his years with us, he worked closely with Youth as well as with our Sports and Recreation Departments. His dedication, energy, and heart left a lasting mark on everyone he worked with.
Wayne will be greatly missed by the youth he mentored, his fellow employees, and the entire Waterfront community. His commitment to young people and to community building was truly admirable. He touched the lives of so many—offering guidance, support, and encouragement in ways that will never be forgotten.
Friends, former teammates, and generations of young athletes remember Wayne as a gentle giant—loyal, patient, uplifting, and deeply compassionate. He was the kind of mentor who believed in young people long before they believed in themselves. His kindness, steady presence, and unwavering encouragement changed the trajectory of countless lives, leaving a legacy far greater than any win or accolade.
Wayne Robertson is survived by his daughter, his family, and a wide network of friends, players, and community members who loved and admired him. Tributes continue to pour in from those he inspired, affirming the extraordinary impact of a man remembered for his heart, humility, and lifelong commitment to others.
Further details regarding services and arrangements will be shared by the family when available.
