Community Connect Food Garden

Did you know that WNC has its very own community food garden? Everyone is welcome to participate and there is no cost. Produce is used for healthy snacks/meals in our community programs and shared with community members. Don’t know how to garden? No worries – we offer weekly organic gardening workshops during the growing season (Spring/Summer/Fall) to show how easy it is to be an urban gardener!

ADULT AND SENIOR COMMUNITY KITCHEN


Join us for an evening of socializing and cooking!
Develop cooking skills, harvest vegetables/herbs from
the Community Connect Garden, learn and share nutritional recipes while preparing delicious and affordable meals together.

Each session can accommodate 4 participants in two times Slots: 3:00-4:30pm, 4:30pm-6:00p.m.

Pre-register by phone: 1 day prior to attending programs to secure your spot.

Community Kitchen sessions will be offered every other Tuesday via YouTube. Check our Seniors Monthly Calendar on our website.

Women’s Circle is a space for women inspiring each
other and our communities. Open to all women from all communities. This program includes community speakers and storytellers, educational topics and fun themes; Seniors Month, Aboriginal Awareness Month, Pride Month, Nutrition Month, Mental Health Awareness.

COMMUNITY CONNECT FOOD GARDEN


Did you know that WNC has its very own community food garden? Everyone is welcome to participate and there is no cost. The organic produce grown in our garden creates healthy snacks and contributes to meals for our programs in addition to being shared with community members. Don’t know how to garden? No worries – we offer free organic gardening workshops during the growing season (Spring/Summer/Fall) that will teach you how to become an organic urban gardener. At the end of the season we celebrate with a Garden Harvest Party – watch our social media for date and time!
